Our Story
Nestled in the picturesque town of Asenovgrad, beneath the serene Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria, lives master craftsman Hristo Zhukow. Deeply connected to nature since childhood, Hristo grew up in a small village surrounded by lush forests, where he learned the joy of woodworking and building alongside his father.
Driven by his passion, Hristo pursued an engineering master's degree, seamlessly blending technical knowledge with his natural affinity for woodworking. Over the years, his love for furniture craftsmanship evolved into a fascination with innovative lighting design.
In 2022, combining his appreciation for nature with cutting-edge technology, he founded Hexi. Operating from his intimate studio in Asenovgrad, he meticulously crafts each chandelier using sustainably sourced wood and traditional woodworking techniques handed down through generations. His creations merge heritage and innovation, expertly integrating modern LED technology into handcrafted wooden fixtures.
Beyond the studio, Hristo remains deeply inspired by nature, tending to his own 20-hectare hazelnut plantation, a testament to his dedication to sustainability and the environment. Each Hexi lighting fixture isn't just a product—it's a narrative of passion, craftsmanship, and respect for the natural world.
